“CHAMELEON” was my favorite and I’m definitely looking forward to the release of their debut video of the same. Other fan favorites seemed to be “Body Language” and “Live by the Beat” which had the audience singing along on the catchy refrain. You’d almost think they had rehearsed it ahead of time, although Suede later confided she only knew about five people in the crowd. That means most of the crowd were new fans, and that’s gold to any band.
But it’s not surprising given how quickly this new band is taking off. They are literally burning up the town with their raw energy and talent and people are taking notice.
Their self titled debut EP is slated for release Oct. 20th on Blue Mask Records — sister label to Pocket Kid Records (the home of rock act, Dead Sara). And their debut music video, CHAMELEON, is being released on Vevo and Youtube Oct. 13th. The video was produced, directed & edited by Gavin Michael Booth, director of The Scarehouse film (Universal) and the man behind music videos for such acts as Third Eye Blind and The Afters.
The Golden Box may be a funky club and one of Los Angeles’ best kept secrets, but if Rome Will Burn keeps playing there, they won’t be a secret for long. Best advice I can give you, find out where and when RWB is playing next and put it on your “Must Do” list, you won’t be disappointed.
Any night with this band is a fun night, so don’t forget to wear your dancing shoes and be prepared – you might just find yourself caught up in the moment and actually singing along with the fans.
